The permablitzing  (permaculture blitzing) of the the St. James In-Take Centre in Mitchells Plain was featured in the Mitchells Plain community newspaper, the Plainsman. The St James In-Take Centre is a rehabilitation centre created and supported by a wonderful woman called Roslyn who works with recovering addicts from her home.

SEED’s Accredited Permaculture Training Interns and members of the Food Freedom Project who made up the Permablitz team,  designed the gardens systems so that it will assist in providing the medicinal and nutritional requirements of the household and those under the care of the centre. The space will also serve as an educational resource to community members who are interested in learning how to implement and maintain productive permaculture systems in local homes.
